An Introductory Note 
I created this webpage in response to a perceived need which emerged in the last couple of months of 2007. The primary prupose of this webpage at this time is to help to spread the word, to those who may wish to know, about a list group which I started in early December 2007 which is devoted to the arcane topic of maintenance and repair of alien starships. Really... I plan to have fun with this page and the new list group, and I also plan to allow this page and the list group to fill a real need which has never before been addressed in an organized way by humans of this modern era.

Background and History
This webpage will tell you a bit about my new -- as of early December 2007 -- email list group at Yahoo Groups which is devoted to the topic of alien starship maintenance and repair; the list group covers both inorganic and semi-organic ships, including the Dorgeon VAS models. You will find links below which will allow you to join the list group, should you wish to do so

My name is Vinny. I am a mystic and a degreed scientist with a grad degree in my field. I operate a number of informational websites and email list groups on topics in the varied realms of alternative health, strange science and mysticism. In late November 2007, I was at the cash register in a local hardware store purchasing a large quantity of stainless steel hardware and some odd pieces of pipe and tubing. The clerk expressed amazement at the massive assortment of specialized hardware that I was purchasing, and asked me what I planned to do with it all. Well, I broke out in a cold sweat, because the truth was that I needed the hardware to complete work on my prototype Time-Space Doorway (no, that is another tale... not here, not now!)

Now, I could hardly tell the clerk the truth without risking being locked up in a loony bin or atracting unwanted guvvamint attention, and so I glibly fibbed and said that I needed the parts in order to help some stranded space aliens repair their starship which had crashed in the forested backyard of my mountain wilderness home. The clerk chuckled merrily and went back to his work. An elderly man standing next to me smiled at me, and said "that's neat!". Minutes  later, as I left the shop, the same man approached me and introduced himself. He told me that he was a semi-retired dairy farmer, and advised me with great solemnity and sincerity that he had a real crashed alien craft in his backyard and four tired and scared aliens (who were growing very tired of subsisting on a mono diet consisting of out-of-date liquid herbicide and used motor oil from his tractor engine, about the only available foodstuffs on his farm which were palatable to them) huddling in his barn, and he asked me if I would help him to repair the damaged alien craft for them. Intrigued, and thinking that he was likely a bit looney, I agreed. Well, I visited Fred's farm later that day, his story turned out to be true, and within four days we had the starship repaired (thank God for MIG/TIG welders and thermite!) and the grateful aliens were on their way. Well, farmer Fred told a few of his friends of our success, and they told other people, and in short order that led to calls from other persons who were trying to repair disabled alien starships; these requests led me to start a list group devoted to the topic of alien starshp maintenance and repair as a way to help such persons in their work.

Caveat - Please Read!
In light of incessant and repeated unreasonable efforts, requests and demands on the part of a small but vocal minority, I must make very clear at this juncture that the sole purpose of this list group is only that of assisting list members with maintenance and repair of alien starships. This list group is NOT devoted to the topic of designing and building starships from scratch, and attempts to derail discussions from the topic of alien starship maintenance and repair to the topic of designing or building starships will not be tolerated; the moderators will continue to deal with all such attempts harshly and firmly, as we have done in the past.If you have concerns or issues regarding designing or building starships, particularly those of FTL (faster-than-light) alien technology -- please take them to an appropriate venue such as one of the email list groups or forums devoted to such topics.

Lastly, since the advent of this list group and my announcement thereof -- wherein I had briefly mentioned a prototype time-space doorway in passing -- I have been inundated by requests from correspondents asking for more information on how to design and build (or create) a time-space doorway, or asking if I know of any such doorways or portals anywhere on earth which are in "operational condition", or asking for a bit of help with their own prototype of a time-space doorway device. I simply do not have time to respond to these correspondents individually, but, in response to their requests, I have decided to create an email list group which will allow researchers as well as "wannabes" in the field of time-space doorways, aka portals or stargates (aka star gates), to correspond and to share information with each other and to keep abreast of news in this odd field.
